What would you do?

What if you, "The Youtuber" were making your videos and someone offered to start paying you to make them?

You agree to this, you have bills to pay and mouths to feed so this sounds like a good deal, you getting paid to make your videos.

Not only do you get paid enough to make a video you end up making a little extra so that you can spend even more to make your videos. You start putting some of that savings into your "production" and your videos get a little better.

People notice they get better and in turn, you make even more money off them because the quality is higher.

This is how it works in the media world, more or less.

Then, what if someone comes along, copies your videos, and starts getting the money you were making off of them instead of you getting the money.

What would you do???

Would you let someone who had nothing to do with the production of your videos, a complete stranger who just decided they wanted your videos and took them, have your money without doing something?

LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF REASON!

DO NOT BOYCOTT VIACOM BECAUSE VIACOM WILL NOT GO DOWN WITHOUT TAKING YOUTUBE DOWN WITH IT.

This is what you should do:

NUMBER ONE:

STOP UPLOADING ILLEGALLY OBTAINED VIDEOS ONTO YOUTUBE!!!
Youtube says NOT to do this before you upload a video yet you do this anyway.

Well, if you do this, companies like VIACOM will obtain your demographical info and try to change YOUTUBE.

NUMBER TWO:

DO NOT VIEW THE ILLEGALLY UPLOADED YOUTUBE VIDEOS.

A certain Spongebob video clip on Youtube has over seven million views while a certain vlogger clip has only fifty. This is why VIACOM will get your personal info and will change YOUTUBE because of this type of thing.

NUMBER THREE:

START WATCHING THE COPYRIGHT FREE AMATEUR VIDEOS!!!

This is what YOUTUBE claims to be all about. Quit riding on the backs of corporations like VIACOM and support the people who make YOUTUBE what it is...the independent channel operators and video makers. If you watch more videos and visit more channels of these independent video makers you will weaken the case against your beloved YOUTUBE because you will be increasing the viewership of the copyright free videos and decreasing the viewership of the illegally obtained copyright infringement videos.

FINALLY:

DO NOT BOYCOTT VIACOM!!

You will be sealing YOUTUBE'S fate as well.
