It's got at least 34 teeth :) It's an 8mm belt. The bottom is a 73, for an overdrive of 2.147, or 114.7%. The rules limited overdrive to 2.15. Since this video the rules have changed to allow up to 2.28. chris

The best explanation/theory I can give is that the blower is like a flywheel spinning at a constant and very fast rate (2.15 x engine rpm) but the engine turns like the second hand of a clock with each tick tick being the firing of each cylinder. This causes the belt to go slack then tight with each cylinder pulse. Belt failure is a big problem...
