My mother brought me up in Armstrongism. We went from the Worldwide to Global/Living and finally the Philadelphia "Church of God" where my mother and her brother (I refuse to acknowledge him as my uncle) are to this day. By the time I turned 19 in 2001, I had finally had enough and left all of that nonsense. My mother kept trying to scare me into thinking that I was going to be thrown into the Lake of Fire for turning away from God but I knew it was a bunch B.S.. Infact there is an online exit and support network(exitsupportnetwork.com) that breaks down the mind control methods and exposes the false gospel Herbert Armstrong taught.
